When we walked in to Bluewater Dance Academy five years ago we had no idea that our dance experience would be more than just joining a new studio. BDA has created so many wonderful and memorable experiences that we are so thankful and grateful to have been a part of. Our daughter has enjoyed being part of both recreational and competitive classes and has had a lot of fun while being challenged along the way. Emily and Skyler are excellent role models and have been so supportive and encouraging while our daughter has progressed from being a shy dancer who stood in the back row to a girl whose new favourite spot is up front and on stage. We are so thankful for our BDA dance family and can’t wait to see what the new season has in store.

We were fortunate to become a member of the BDA dance team four years ago when Avaya was five. Avaya has changed so much in the last four years. As a five year old Avaya was a very shy child who did not talk in her first six months of Kindergarten. When she enrolled in dance and started taking lessons, it was like we had a different little girl. With the welcoming and caring environment of BDA that fueled her love for dance she started to open up and when Avaya got on stage she shone and you could see her personality and confidence shine bright.
When you walk through the doors of BDA you feel so welcomed and comfortable. Avaya says, "you feel like you are a part of a family”. Whether it be from studio sleepovers, potluck banquets or the friendly face of Miss Kelsey behind the desk, you always feel like you belong. The enthusiasm, compassion and competitiveness Ms. Emily and Ms. Skyler show for their dance family is out of this world!
Miss Emily and Miss Skyler are always challenging Avaya to take her dance to the next level and we are so grateful for all that BDA has done for her.

3 years ago, Ella joined BDA and has made some of her best friendships, she considers many of those girls to be like her sisters. In addition to the great friendships she has made, the dance teachers at the studio have been wonderful….they are not only outstanding dance instructors, but have also been terrific mentors and role models as well.
The thing I love most about BDA is that its focus is not just all about dance, but rather on the overall development of each child as a complete person, because the emphasis is not only on the physical aspect of dancing, but it is also on the mental, emotional, and social parts of being a well-rounded and whole individual.
My daughter’s self-confidence and self-esteem has soared at BDA, which I think comes from the fact that the Studio is a family-oriented, nurturing environment.
