Ballet
Ballet is a highly technical form of dance training with its own vocabulary based on French terminology. It has influenced and defined the foundation of techniques used in many other genres. Ballet has evolved over the years but will always hold the most important dance fundamentals. It requires hard work, dedication and discipline.
Tap
Tap is a traditional style of dance using the shoes with metal plates on the bottom striking the floor, creating rhythmic choreography. Tap focuses a lot on musicality and percussion.
Jazz
Jazz is a technique based style with a strong ballet background. There are many types of styles of jazz ranging from: Broadway Jazz, Modern Jazz, African Jazz and many more. This class consists of structure and discipline along with fun and sass.
Hip-Hop
Hip-hop is an upbeat urban style of dance that is forever evolving. This high energy class consists of rap, hip-hop and pop sounds, focusing on musicality and rhythm.
Contemporary
Contemporary is an extremely artistic style of dance. It is a fusion of ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and usually contains an emotional journey, or story. There is a lot of creative freedom when it comes to contemporary dance.
Acrobatics
Acrobatics is a style of dance that combines traditional dance techniques as well as athletic acrobatic elements. Its unique choreography seamlessly blends artistic dance movement and tricks together. Acro is a challenging dance style and takes a lot of strength and persistence to excel. This style is becoming very popular in the competitive dance world as well as the professional.
Tots Creative Movement
Students will learn basic movement using their imagination and props. No technique will be stressed in this class, just natural movement. This class will prepare students to enter a structured dance class in the future.
HEELesque
HEELesque is an upbeat and sassy dance class that consists of video jazz, hip-hop and burlesque inspired by today’s newest artists/videos. This style promotes positivity and self confidence by motivating women to love their bodies. Beginners and experienced dancers are welcome, Heels are recommended for this style. Available in the summer only.
